Cool and sophisticated time

Dyslectics not only have difficulties reading and writing, "we" also often struggle with time. Dyslectics don't show up on time, can't plan their tasks or - as in my case - can't tell time on clocks.

Since I work as a teacher I have to use a clock al the time. So I wanted to find a nice watch with numbers on it, since those make it easier. But is wasn't that simple. Bother. I almost gave up, when one of the shop mates wanted to know my problem. I told her what I wanted and why. She had two dyslectic sons so knew exactly what the problem was. She came up with this necklace.

"You can keep it close to your eyes, that makes focusing easier. It has all the numbers and once you get used to it, it really works well."

I hated it but it was the only thing worth trying, so I bought it. Very much not at ease I wore it on my first school day, until one of the most popular children cried out: "Wow, that watch is really cool!"

I have been wearing it ever since and indeed love my watch right now. It helps me tell time and is very sophisticated!
