Knossos - guide with umbrella

While visiting the Knossos on Crete, we took a guided tour like most people do. This leads to a lot of guides walking around, trying to attract the attention of their group. How they do that? They wear a piece of clothing or an accessory that makes them easy to spot.

Our guide used this hideous looking umbrella. She even did some kind of sign language with it: umbrella raised but closed = will start talking in a minute, umbrella raised and open = talking.
