Control House

This is the back entrance of the Bowling Green IRT Control House, New York. What a beautiful way to disguise the ticket machines and stairways to the subway platforms. Wait until you see the front entrance! It was designed by Heins & LaFarge and built in 1905.

Never realized that the rapid transit system is over a century old. The first one opened in 1863 in London.
